West Campus PSTC Phase II
Project Description
The project will create a full Training Village for additional training for local police, fire and emergency responders. The addition of Phase II will focus on "scenario-based training" and will include mock buildings such as residential and retail units as well as a new Training Center.
Project Information
- The proposed site plan will maximize the setback of all new construction from adjacent residences, which will minimize noise reaching the neighborhood. The proposed new facilities will be further away from all residences than the existing KeyBank Public Safety Training Center building is located.
- While the proposed construction will impact up to .5 acres of wetlands, the preferred site plan will minimize impacts. Tri-C is engaged with the Army Corps of Engineers and with the Cuyahoga Nature Conservancy to ensure that all wetlands impacts are mitigated with new wetlands creation at a ratio of 1:1.5.
- Construction on the project commenced in July 2018 and will proceed for 16-18 months.
